Hi Tim
I first what to say how grateful I am for what you aim to do with Keynote. I wanted to ask you the following about your intentions for Keynote:
Do you intend on producing a totally "new" application based on the current Keynote program, or attempt on releasing Keynote version 2.00? - the way you think the next version should be like.
The reason I ask this question is because there is quite a strong addiction to the software among certain users of Keynote (myself included), who are happy with the current version (after testing all alternatives and look-a-like applications out there) and will not use anything else - apart from an actual release of Keynote version 2.00 (which is now not going to happen from the original author).
Please don't get me wrong, I think your intentions on continuing Keynote is the best news I've heard all year! For me personally I just want to get it right in my mind - do I see it as a competitor to the old version or an upgrade with all its great features and style still been retained?
for example - I've been using Keynote 1.65 for about a year now, the program has never crashed on me, its always very fast and dependable and so on. There is just magic in the way the program handles things and I would want all these to continue. I don't want it to be something with lots of new bells & whistles just like lots of other applications out there very, very similar to Keynote - but not Keynote. Will it retain its unique characteristics?
This whole point I am making cames into relevance because you are not the original programmer of Keynote and may not (intentionally or otherwise) continue its established style or operation.
Thanks for your good work!
