On Xtort.net i read something about seonote.com. I went looking and downloaded the program. Wow ...! This is nice. It has - Multi tabs
- Keynote im/export (also treeline)
- Text, RTF and HTML support
It isn't sophisticated like keynote (for example i'm missing the "F12 button" ), but what an alternative! What do you guys think about this program?

This looks really good. I hope that SeoNote and Novo Libera can inspire each other. A little bit of "competition" is always good to have.
Concerning the data source, SeoNote seems to be more like KeyNote in that it reads from a single file (or each tab is a single file) while Novo Libera uses a database. Both approaches do have pros and cons.

SEONote looks "ok". Don't get me wrong though, it's a nice program and probably one of the closest I have seen to Keynote yet... but I found that it had several drawbacks which would keep me from using it: - Can't import custom icons
- Settings won't apply some of the time. Can't change the font or font-weight in the tree, it stays system and bold no matter what you change
- Can't use a custom tray icon
- Tree icons don't use alpha transparency (jagged edges)
- Can't set individual font, font size, color, background color for individual tree nodes
- Can't place 'tabs' on the bottom
- No search!?
Some of these might seem unimportant but once you're used to keynote, I would feel like I was downgrading

Looks promising. I specially like how FAST it is. Keynote gets slower and slower - I got typing lags - as notes become meatier. I copied a huge keynote page into seonote and it remain editable and fast as lightning.
I sure do miss keynote singular features - I only wish keynote was faster in my system.

I'm sure if Novo Libera and Seo Note stay so engaged as they currently are, both will improve and if any important functionality from KeyNote is missing, it will be added over time. So the future looks bright

Don't forget that Novo Libera and SeoNote are not starting out in the same direction... SeoNote is not using a database and not using filterable nodes. At this point in time it also does not have table support or true hyperlink support. As of v1.1 it is not a replacement for Keynote (except if speed is that big of a concern, brabo!) since it doesn't really add anything to what Keynote can do already.
From hearing Tim's direction for Novo, it is going places that SeoNote isn't. Read through Tim's posts and you'll see a much more full-fledged information manager than even Keynote was. In fact, according to Tim, he is going to make a program that is much more than an information manager... whatever that means! We'll have to wait and see!
I agree with KingSky: at this point (v1.1) SeoNote is not anywhere close to a Keynote replacement. It has not attempted new major features (why change if Keynote does that stuff excellently already?) and does not yet have as many major features as Keynote. HOWEVER, SeoNote is being actively developed. This is it's strongpoint.
I for one, will not be changing from Keynote unless the replacement has table support, true hyperlink support (in nodes too) , and has filterable nodes (easiest with a database backend). The closest I've seen so far is TreeDBNotes. If Novo Libera or the next version of NeoMem do not ever move beyond vaporware, I will be giving TreeDBNotes a much more serious look.

I've tried seonotes and I like it. It seems to be still under development and getting better. Printing is awkward - but better than KeyNote. Tables are primative - but KeyNote didn't have them at all. What I discovered last night was that it allows me to import OLE objects like an Excel spreadsheet. The toolbars change to allow me to work in the spreadsheet and then change back when I finish working in the spreadsheet. Nice.
Like many here, I am watching both to see which direction I will go in. No decisions made yet - honest.

Have you evaluated TreeDBNotes Pro? www.mytreedb.com/ It also imports Keynote files. I think its further along than Seanotes.
